Honey Corn Bread

My absolute favorite corn bread EVER! So easy and amazingly delicious fresh out of the oven!
  • 1 cup flour
  • ¾ cup cornmeal
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 T butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 cup milk

Sift together flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, combine egg, honey, butter and milk. Add to dry ingredients, stirring just enough to moisten. Pour batter into greased 8” square baking pan. Bake at 400° for 30 minutes. Cool in pan on rack. Serve warm with honey.
